How do I access content when I see the activate system error 80029514 on my PlayStation® 3?

Some users report seeing "To access this content, you must activate this system" after downloading and launching the Redbox Instant by Verizon app on their PlayStation® 3. To resolve this:

  1. On the XMB (XrossMediaBar), go to PSN and sign in.
  2. Go to PSN Account Management > System Activation > PS3 System.
  3. Select activate Game.
  4. Select activate Video.
  5. Launch the Redbox Instant by Verizon app.
